QuitCore
QuitCore offers free groups across Alberta to support you as you quit smoking. This program, for adults 18 and older, teaches quitting support techniques such as:
- self-hypnosis
- behaviour modification
- relaxation
The program also provides:
- strategies to help with physical and mental recovery
- visits from past graduates to discuss what worked for them
- a support persons' program to teach others how they can support you as you quit
Led by trained professionals, the program consists of six 90-minute sessions over a period of up to nine weeks and incorporates common best practices to help tobacco users quit.
