Cindy

Today is the 7 week anniversary that I have been smoke free. I find every opportunity to celebrate, because for 20 years, smoking has owned me. I started when I was 12 years old, in grade 7 when it was cool to smoke. I am now 32 years old, and smoking is no longer cool - it's robbing me of a quality life.

For me the decision to quit was NOT an easy one. I enjoyed smoking, honestly I did. But, smoking was not in line with all of the other changes in my life I've been making. It was time for my outside to match my inside - and part of that was quitting smoking for good. The angst of needing a cigarette has dissipated over the past few weeks... and I'm never looking back. The urge to not smoke is so much stronger than the urge to light up.

I am happily, and finally, a non-smoker! :)
