5 years:
I smoked for 15 years (from age 14). It took me several attempts but once the decision was made it stuck. My quit was a lifestyle change and about autonomy, health, and growing up.

Since I quit, I have made a lot of changes and been through a lot. I've been unemployed, underemployed, well employed, broke, moved, travelled, cut my losses with a community, passed 30, gained and lost 15 pounds. I spent time exploring the alcohol thing too. I've gone from being resigned to my "aging" self to running 6km before breakfast. I finally learned how & why to eat properly
