  • Let your family and friends know about your plans for quitting and be specific about how they can help. Maybe you need extra encouragement, someone to go for walks with you when you get a craving, or someone to just listen when you are feeling stressed.
  • Maybe you know someone who wants to quit too, and doing it together will help keep you on track. Or find someone who will have your back when the cravings hit hard and will help distract you. A quit buddy can be anyone who you can rely on to keep you diverted, focussed and on track.
  • Share your experiences and get support and advice from others who know what you’re going through and can share what they’ve learned along the way to a tobacco-free life.
